Seeking God meeting changes

Hello friends,

I want to send a quick note for those who have joined us in early morning prayer in the past.  After the week of July 6th - 12th we will no longer have our "seeking God" meetings for a season of time.  There is an option for those who still want to pray in the morning at that time - to meet at Hope Community Church from 6 - 7:30.

If you are interested in continuing the early morning prayer times then please send me a quick email and let us know.  Let's keep pressing in together!

Healing in His Wings

Hello friends,

I wanted to take a moment to highlight an upcoming meeting we are holding on June 22nd 2008.  This meeting is a special healing service for all those that come for a special time of prayer and worship.  We are of course targeting those who are in great need for God's touch in there life physically and emotionally.  I know of several people who have cancer and the like that are asking God to move in their physical bodies.

A few weeks ago I was with the Lord and the Holy Spirit indicated to me that we were to place an "expectation" on Him to heal people.  As I processed and prayed through this word I knew we had to have a meeting dedicated to seeing Jesus heal people.  This phrase stuck out in my mind as we set the date for this time - "There is Healing in His wings".  This phrase comes from a Scripture in Malachi that says this - 2 "But for you who fear My name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its wings; and you will go forth and skip about like calves from the stall.   Mal 4:2 (NASB)".  In response to this word we called a 21 day fast.  We have since heard that over 35 people are fasting and praying with us that God would move in specific ways – especially in healing.

In the book of Luke there is a time where Jesus has entered a home and the crowds are all around him.  It is the passage where a paralytic was lowered down to Jesus through the roof of a home because his friends were dedicated to seeing their friend healed.  Before this story begins to unfold we read an interesting verse that says this - "and the power of the Lord was present for Him to perform healing. (Luke 5:17 NASB).  We see in this passage that Luke indicated POWER was present for Jesus to heal.  I can honestly say that I don't know why power was present in this moment and maybe not so in others (at least enough to make this very specific distinction).  I can speculate that faith and expectation were major keys if not THE KEYS that led to God's power being present in this special moment for healing to occur.  I say all this to say that I believe God will be present with us by way of healing on June 22nd as well.  I wish I could promise healing for everyone that comes but I can only say “please come and see what God will do”.

For those of you who may not need a physical or emotional healing touch from God – I ask that you consider bringing those that do.  In that same passage of Luke (chapter 5), Jesus declares that those who brought their friend to Him had “great faith”.  This man who was crippled had friends that were willing to push through the crowds, climb up on a house and lower there friend through a hole in the roof.  They did this because they knew if they could get their friend to Jesus, chances were he would get healed.  I realize that it can be uncomfortable to ask people to come to a “Healing service”, but I think we should be desperate on the behalf of others sometimes.  I am personally asking people who most likely will say no, but I am praying that they will say yes – and that God would completely heal them as they step into faith as well.  Let’s be like the friends of the paralytic and do what we can to bring people to Jesus.

To make it more interesting, we have never done a “healing meeting”.  We are doing it because of the Lord’s word to us.  This is the confidence in which we stand – not our own faith, not our doctrines, but His word.  Please come and join us in prayer and faith for those who need God in the most real way.

Bless you all,

Blow the Trumpet

 Hello friends,

I am writing this to you in an atmosphere of prayer - feeling inspired to do so.  Recently I have had several experiences with the Lord that have brought about great understanding and clarity.  I have sensed many things for the Washington/Northwest region over the past couple years.  In recent times I believe the Lord is doing something most profound that He wants to bring to our attention.  Over the last few weeks the Lord has been very clear about bringing together the leaders IN PRAYER.  This is important to accomplish His will on a bigger scale than just what goes on in our churches or ministries.  God is building something bigger then any one ministry can fulfill (obviously we all know this), which makes partnering with each other that much more important.  As I read the Scripture below last week, the Lord moved on me in the most profound way, He released a level of prayer through me that I have not yet experienced.  I feel sensitive to our Northwest region like never before and find myself praying like never before.  The Lord spoke to me about blowing the trumpet to call the leaders forward to pray in what He wanted to do (I began to study what the trumpet represented in the Scriptures after this word from the Lord).  We have had 2 prophecies about our ministry being a "trumpet" - I say this so you know the confidence I have that this is the Lord and not just me.

I believe that the Lord is calling us to partner together in specific ways so that the He would be able to bring about all that He desires to do in our times.  The first and most important way we need to partner is through prayer.  I am proposing a once a month prayer meeting for the leaders in our area, we will use this time to ask God to pour out His Spirit on our region, set our people on fire and bring the lost into His kingdom.  I realize many are resistant to these kinds of things/meetings because of those who have sought to bring about their own agendas, get other pastors pulpits or make a little money.  I can assure you that my agenda is birthed from a true prophetic sense that has been confirmed many times - both Scripturally and Prophetically.

In ancient times the trumpet was used to summon the leaders, summon the nation of Israel together, worship the Lord as a musical instrument, bring down the wall (stronghold) of Jericho (without a fight), call the nation to war - etc.

1 The LORD spoke further to Moses, saying, 2 "Make yourself two trumpets of silver, of hammered work you shall make them; and you shall use them for summoning R258 the congregation and for having the camps set out. 3 "When R259 both are blown, all the congregation shall gather themselves to you at the doorway of the tent of meeting. 4 "Yet if only one is blown, then the leaders, R260 the heads of the divisions F130 of Israel, shall assemble before you.  Numbers 10:1-4

I am blowing the trumpet and calling us forward in what I truly believe the Lord is saying.  "IT IS TIME TO PRAY!"  - and to do so together!

If you want to talk to me further about this then please contact me and I will gladly discuss this with you.  I pray that you sense the importance and urgency of what I am saying here - this is not meant to pressure but to provoke us to action.  Our first action is always prayer - without praying our ministries will inevitably be "man empowered" and thus powerless in the transformation of our communities and lives.

We are committed to praying for your church, ministries and communities!

Blessings
